Having collected reviews on different platforms, you need to find a way to share the good news with your audience. Here are some tips for promoting your customer feedback on social media.

Keep the Message Short

Don’t quote an entire review in a social media post. Pick a line or an interesting bit and use it to capture the attention of the audience. If applicable, you can link to the full review in the body of your social media post.

Use Visuals

Simply sharing the text will score you far fewer points with the audience than using visuals. Get creative and combine visuals in your customer review promotion. You can use photos, images or videos that fit your post.

Thank Customers for Their Reviews

The best way to encourage customers to share their feedback best way is to show appreciation for their effort. A simple ‘thank you’ shows that you read and appreciate all the feedback you receive.

Re-share Customer Posts

Monitor your social media profiles and look for positive posts or comments that customers share directly on their social account. You can re-share their posts on the same platform amplifying the reach of the positive comments.

On Twitter you can simply use the Retweet button, reposting content as your own. On Instagram or Facebook Feed, is a different story. In this case, you need to obtain written permission from the user that it’s okay to use their photo or video.

However, on Instagram you can take advantage of the Stories features to re-share customer feedback.

The Share Feed Posts to Stories feature lets you share user posts as a sticker to your Story that includes the original poster’s username and a link back to their post.

Instagram also lets you mention (@) any other user in Stories. When a user mentions you in their Story, you’ll receive a direct message notification. Then you can add it to your Story with a link back to the original user.

Get the Right Mix

It’s important to get the right balance in your social media calendar. Too many customer reviews will make your content look overly eager and could shy potential customers away.

When you are scheduling content remember to include some customer reviews alongside your traditional content. It’s a great tool to reinforce key campaign messages with consumer feedback.

Combine the planned content with the spontaneous ‘Thanks’ and ‘Reshares’ to create the right mix for you and your customers.
